A little bit more about me

Katrina Froome Naturopathy - women’s wellness, healthy children and gut health. Katrina helps you take back control of your health. Naturopath, nutritionist & herbal medicine: servicing Brisbane & Ipswich plus online consultations.

I have worked in the health sector for over 22 years and during this time I have obtained in 2013, a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) through Endeavour College of Natural Health, in Brisbane and have almost completed a Masters of Health Administration.

My passion lies in digestive health where I work with many clients (both men and women) who have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and the many health conditions that stem from these.

Many of the women I work with are from different cultural backgrounds and diversities as it is important that we are able to achieve a healthy perimenopause, transition into menopause and post menopause. This transition can take up to 10 years which begins in your early 40s and affects women in so many ways.

I also work with children to support their digestive health along with implementing programs to support stress and/or anxiety as this is increasing in all age groups.

Post viral support is becoming more sort after due to the many health related conditions that people are experiencing over the past few years. There are many viruses out in the community that are affecting us on many levels. Exhaustion, fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, lowered immunity, auto immune conditions, cardio vascular issues, thyroid health and many more can stem from a previous viral infection.

I believe that the foundation to health is found in nutrition and lifestyle choices. I am an experienced herbalist and I enjoy being able to make individualised herbal formulas to suit the needs of each of my clients through my in-house herbal dispensary.

Herbal medicine (I love my liquid herbs!) and Nutraceuticals (nutritional supplements) are necessary to assist your body to heal and my goal is to get you to the point where you can be happy and healthy without excessive supplementation.  Getting your daily nutrition right and incorporating simple lifestyle changes into your daily living can help you achieve optimal health most sustainably.

Now is the time to take control of your health as I love to keep it simple and achievable for you without leaving you feeling overwhelmed. Getting wholefoods back into your daily lives is an essential part of Naturopathy. When I work with clients I like to primarily focus on food and what diet’s you have tried in the past and why? I also use easy to implement lifestyle changes so that the benefits can be maintained long term.

  • Most of my clients eat healthy, are health conscious and are aware of their symptoms but they are not sure of why they still ‘just don’t feel right’
  • Some of my clients are looking for guidance on dietary and lifestyle changes. They are wanting to have a healthy perimenopause and transition into menopause and beyond.
  • I really believe in finding the root cause as to why you have these health conditions as this is when healing truly begins.
  • For this to successfully happen, you may also require functional testing to really get to the nitty gritty of what’s going on inside, for example food sensitivities are very common in all areas of digestive and hormonal health.

I will design your personalised wellness plan that will assist you on your journey to better health. As I've mentioned above finding the root cause of your health issues is an important factor in assisting you to feel well again. You will be feeling vibrant, full of energy, thinking clearer, sleeping better, feeling 'balanced', feeling lighter and healthy once again – Repair, Re-balance and Restore!
